The Installer
Bind the Music Box to thy FM-1, over a USB cable
Before thou beginnest
- Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop (WebMIDI with SysEx). Firefox and Safari cannot do this.
- A data USB-C cable, plugged straight into the computer. Close every other music app (DAWs, M-UPGRADE, other tabs that use MIDI).
- Charge the FM-1. Do not unplug it while it writes; if it is interrupted it waits in update mode and this page resumes.
- Coming from another custom firmware? The community advice is to return to official V15 first (below), then install.
- Already running the Music Box? Save thy scenes with the Preset Console (Backup all) first.
- This is hobby firmware, installed at thine own risk. Recovery paths are in the README.

Looking for the release package…
Or a package of thine own (a local build: build/emb.fwsc):
Return to official V15
Choose M-VAVE's unmodified FM-1.fwsc (V15). Its SHA-256 is checked before anything is sent.
